We have lots of jobs you can do. Below are positions available now, but do let us know if there is something else you would like to have a go at.

Assistant Cub Leader

The Cub Pack is where our 8-10 year olds come to experience scouting at its best. You will help assist the Cub Leader with planning and resourcing of activities, camps and outings.

Best of all, you get to work with some young, energetic youth to help them achieve their goals and awards. Time commitment is attending weekly meetings during term times for 1.5 hrs, a planning meeting and the odd camp.

Assistant Scout Leader

Our Scouts are aged 11-14 who love to get outside and experience the big outdoors. They work in “Patrols”, and have a larger input into their program and planning. Set awards and badge work point them in the right direction, and they now choose their activities, and start to plan them yourself.

As a leader, you will help guide the youth and keep them safe. Helping them, and giving them ideas and support is the aim. Don’t worry though, you get to take part in the activities as well. This is your chance to help develop our leaders of tomorrow.

Time commitment is 2 hours per week during term times, plus the opportunity to attend a planning / training meetings for the Senior Scouts, once per month. Various camps and outings are available, including the Jamboree which happens once every 3 years.

Venturer Leader

The last youth section in Scouts, where you will help guide our members into adulthood. Youth plan, and execute their activities, you are there to keep them safe, to guide, and remove barriers to their success. Youth continuing their Scouting journey at this stage are driven and keen – they are a special bunch.

Meetings are 2.5 hrs weekly during term time, the rest is by negotiation with the Venturer Youth. Where this position will take you is anyones guess.

Media Guru

Seeking someone media savvy that could look after our website and facebook pages, create flyers and advertising campaigns, all things media.

Group Quartermaster

Are you good with your hands, like doing little bits of maintenance here and there, keep an eye on our equipment and its condition. Work with the committee to secure funding and new equipment, this position is yours to make what you want of it!

Committee Members

Always on the lookout for suitably qualified or interested individuals to serve on our Adult Committee. Help the Group continue its success with governance, financial, funding and fundraising and much more. Get the chance to meet other like minded adults and help the Youth to achieve their potential.
